Silent Stream swung on a vine without ease. A determined look was set on his face. "By Baboon! How did this happen?" A dead monkey carcass was sprawled out on the ground below with a tiger laid across it. He heard it tear the monkey into strips and greedily feast on it. Silent Stream knew not to linger long at the sight of a kill but not another vine was in sight. He aimed for a tree and jumped crazily luckily reaching the tree and slamming againest it, quickly hugging his two short arms around the trunk and hoping the tiger hadn't bothered to look up. Another one of the many challenges He would face completed. He could only hope for something good to happen now for He was sweating and depressed, wondering the jungles aimlessly. He climbed onto a large branch and looked over his trail and noticed how far away he was from his family. As He pouted over his life the tiger continued to rip up the dead monkey but He also noticed something else..a scent..a nice one. He sighed Probably nothing. Only a miracle could bring him something good. Silent Stream then slumped down on the branch and closed his stressed eyes.

Galad was on a branch above Silent Stream and was happily watching the tiger eat one of her own kind. It was her sister, whom had been the preferred one in the family and the reason she had been cast away like an old piece of fruit. She had personally taken care of her parents, but everyone needed to eat. Now the arrival of another baboon set a flame to her curiosity, and she nimbly hopped down onto the branch in front of him. "What do we have here?" She said out loud.

Silent Stream jumped, startled by the Baboon's voice. He looked at the new arrival "What a piece of treasure!" He exclaimed embarrassed still amazed from her beauty and great black coat. "Who are you?" He asked curiously inspecting Her slowly and looking at the smirk on her face.

Galad have a little bow. "I am Galad, named after the light they say I don't have." She said, politely introducing herself. "And who might you be?" She asked, flattered by his first remark. Obviously he wasn't the bad type... Maybe they could be friends...

"I'm Silent Stream, a Baboon striving to stand out..and so far it's quite hard" He commented copying Galad's bow. "So what are you doing in these parts Galad?" He asked setting himself down "I'm quite happy to find you" He remarked.

Galad wondered if she should lie, but decided against it. "If you really want to know... I was looking for a tiger to eat my sister. It's a long story, but at least I found one!" She said, motioning with her hand to the tiger who was almost finished with the baboon that had been her no good sister.

Silent Stream looked at Galad for a few moments "Creepy..but at least you respect the food chain" He shrugged still worried about this new Baboon's thoughts. "Do you know where I could find a fresh water stream?" Asked Silent Stream. "the last one about a mile back was filled with the stench of blood...Yuck" He said remembering his adventure.

Galad blushed, for there was a good chance the blood was that of her parents that she had cast into the river. "Err... Yea, there is one this way." She said awkwardly. Turning, she leaped into a branch of another tree, and another. After she was five trees ahead, she stopped and waited for Silent Stream.
